Спілка Української Молоді - Ukrainian Youth Association

The Verkhovyna Ukrainian Song & Dance Ensemble is the cultural arm of the Ukrainian Youth Association (UYA) in Edmonton, Alberta. Commonly referred to by its Ukrainian acronym, SUM is an international voluntary and non-profit organiztion with the goals of cultivating Ukrainian unity around the world and promoting Ukrainian heritage.

Being part of the UYA has provided many exciting oppurtunities for the Verkhovyna Ensemble across Canada and the world. We are proud to be members of the Ukrainian Youth Association, and the Ukrainian community as a whole.

The UYA program encourages Ukrainian children and youth to explore their Ukrainian heritage. At the Edmonton branch, this includes weekly meetings, sport & cultural events, as well as summer & winter camps.
