One requirement of our School of Dance which is not mentioned in the online registration portal is the volunteer commitments. One of the ways we are able to utilize the Ukrainian Youth Unity Complex (UYUC) for our rehearsals is by volunteering for events which take place at the hall. The requirement from the UYUC is that if you have one child registered with the School of Dance you are required to complete 4 hall shifts (each one being 4-5 hours), and if you have two or more children you are required to complete 6 hall shifts. On the first day of classes (Sept. 14) you will be required to hand in 4 or 6 (depending on the number of children) undated $75 cheques, which would get cashed in the event that the required number of shifts are not complete by the end of the dance season.
